50% off at The Skidmore Shop

I'm gonna give you the 411 on a sweet sale we're having at the Skidshop. Show up between 8:00AM and 8:30AM on Monday August 24th, and you are gonna get a sweet 50% off of most merchandise in the store. Yeah..there are exceptions, such as Apple computers and Apple products, textbooks, netbooks, tradebooks, healthy and beauty, newspapers, magazines, some art supplies won't see a discount...as well as a few other things I can't seem to think of right now. But that leaves the rest of the store vulnerable to the 50% discount. But again..the catch is you have to be at the Skidshop between 8:00AM and 8:30AM on Monday August 24th.

We'll even supply the coffee. Well....WE won't. But our pals from Dining Services will.

Speaking of the Dining Services...

I love d-hall tuna melts!!

You hear that world?!?!!

I LOVE D-HALL TUNA MELTS!!!!!!!!!!

Oh...I should also mention that we'll be closing at noon on Monday.

Cap and Gowns deadline

Hi folks. Just one more thing about cap and gown orders. The DEADLINE is Friday March 20th to get your cap and gown order. You all know what deadline means? Right?

You can always do it online by clicking here. Still..same thing. Deadline is Friday March 20th.

Seniors..get your cap and gown. March 18 and March 19.

Seniors!!!...it's that time. You've put in hours and hours of work over the last four years. Three years for you smarty pants. And five years (or more) for the ones who took their time. Nothing wrong with taking your time. You wrote a crap load of papers. You've met with professors and have been tested every other week to the point where you thought it would never end. Well...it's about to end and you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Congratulations. Only a few more steps to go. One of those steps would be getting your cap and gown so you look good at commencement. Stop into The Skidmore Shop on Wednesday March 18 and Thursday March 19 and see the Jostens rep to purchase your cap and gown. While you're there you can look at Skidmore class ring. Just sayin.

See how good Sheldon Solomon looks? The man should wear one all the time.

Spring Break

I tried to google image a photo of spring break for this post but everything that came up was too racy for our innocent little blog. So I guess you'll have to settle for a picture of this guy and his spring break trip to Vancouver standing next to a bear dressed as a Canadian Mountie. ..who, oddly enough, sort of looks like my mother. No lie! The bear...not the guy. Hahaha..kidding..I kid. Sorry mom.

Anyways......just wanted to let you know that the Skidmore Shop will be closed on Saturday March 7 and won't re-open until Monday March 16.

Have fun on your break!!

DISCOUNT!!!!

Look at it. Looks nice, doesn't it? You think it would look good in your dorm room or apt. Of course it would. I mean, it's a pretty awesome machine. Dare I say....sexy?

You give us $949 dollars (plus tax...NYS has this tax thing) and you can go home, plug in your awesome new computer and surf the web, make your own movies, write and then record a song, video chat with your buddies over in Asia and even write a paper..after all..you are in college. But here's the deal. We only have one in stock. So first come, first served.

Also..just throwing it out there. We have a 500GB Time Capsule. Was $279. Now $259. Same deal though...only one in stock.

This sort of fun should be illegal..

We had our annual fashion show last night in The Spa and we had a great time. Thanks to all of our models, the people who showed up, DJ Kirsten for the music and Dining Services and Quandts for all of the great food. Big thanks to our sponsors MV Sports and The Cotton Exchange. In case you missed it or you want to re-live it...here are some photos from the event.

Pre-show discussion with staff.

The calm before the storm.

Rehearsal. Yeah, I'm pretty much a certified idiot. DJ Kirsten agrees.

Robin and Sam wait patiently for the show to start.

Hello ladies.

Our models wait for the show to start. Ali catches up on her gossip magazines.

The waiting is the hardest part. Thankfully we have magazines.

Rich!!

The guys are waiting for things to start.

We secretly hate each other.

Ali is on the runway!

Look at the stars-look how they shine for you-and everything you do-yeah, there were all yellow.

Kate from Nevada!! All Kate asks is that you pronounce Nevada correctly. It's a long A.

Nice arm Rich!

Melanie shows off her moves!

The original face of The Skidmore Shop website, Mr Lasher and his friend President Obama.

The Skidmore Shop staff jumps on stage.

Chaos erupts......

....and wigs get taken off mannequins.

We had an awesome time. Thanks to everyone involved!!
